He also gives something back by helping companies in the charitable and public sectors create well-led and high-performing organisations.

His career started as an entrepreneur soon after he left the University of Nottingham with a BSc (Hons) Biology degree. Since graduating he has been a serial entrepreneur successfully running different businesses. Awards include a prestigious European Space Agency scholarship. Always keen to learn and progress his knowledge he has also obtained his Dentistry degree whilst continuing to run his businesses. Now he is fully focused and putting his energy into the Investment Consortium as it combines his business acumen with his desire to improve the health of the public. The mission is to create an ethical and more efficient next-generation organisation designed to benefit its clients, employees, and investors by acquiring and consolidating multiple small and mid-sized companies.

Serban Suvagau is the former head of strategy at Bupa UK where he led the £830M acquisition of Oasis Dental including strategy development, board proposal, due diligence, vendor negotiations, regulatory approvals, and post-merger integration. Before joining Bupa, Serban helped acquire a national dental plan – the UK’s third-largest dental insurer – while at Unum UK. Serban began his career in the Management Consulting Industry across the US, Canada, and the UK, most notably with monitor group (now monitor Deloitte), in the London office. In addition to non-executive roles, Serban advises healthcare founders on how to scale their businesses and raise funds. Serban is a sought-after subject matter expert in UK private healthcare, dentistry, and healthcare funding, with a focus on innovation. Originally from Canada, Serban has an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA in international studies from the Joseph Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Taylor’s qualifications in Restorative Dentistry (BARD), Occlusion, Aesthetics, Orthodontics (Warwick University), and Dental Implantology (Warwick University) demonstrate his diverse skill set. Dr Vinita Shekar is a specialist dentist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at Ninewells hospital, Dundee. Outside clinical work, Vinita is actively involved with teaching and training and works very closely with NHS England. She is an invited member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng) council while serving as Regional Director for Scotland appointed by the college.

She has also served on the council of Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC) from September 2022 until August 2025 and co-chaired the AoMRC SAS Committee. She is immediate past chair of SAS Forum at RCSEng and served as a panel member for Kennedy Review that looked at the diversity of leadership of Royal College of Surgeons of England.

She is passionate about equal opportunities for education and training of SAS doctors and dentists and has been instrumental in improving the profile of SAS surgeons at the college and beyond. Some of her other past leadership roles include being an investigator officer for doctors in difficulty, a whistle-blowing advocate, clinical audit lead, clinical governance lead, SAS education advisor for NHS Tayside and SAS Representative on BAOMS council.
